Society of Illustrators Gold Medal-winning cartoonist Farel Dalrymple has been producing his own comics since 1999. After graduating from the School of Visual Arts in New York City, the first issue of his ongoing series, Pop Gun War, was published with the help of Xeric grant. In 2003 Pop Gun War was collected into a trade paperback by Dark Horse Comics. Farel co-founded, co-edited, and contributes to the comic book anthology Meathaus.
Farel currently works on a range of projects for magazines, book publishers, and other media. His most recent work was on the series Omega the Unknown with Jonathan Lethem for Marvel comics. He is currently living in Portland, Oregon and working on an original graphic novel, The Wrenchies for First Second books.
