Beyond Words

Carol W. Gardner spent several years collecting her stories from the highways and byways of America. Her criterion for choosing her candidates? The bumper sticker had to make her think, laugh, or wonder. Before chasing bumper stickers across America, Carol worked as an art director and creative director for advertising agencies in both San Francisco and New York. She feels that Bumper Sticker Wisdom captures a slice of America that parallels the advertising "one-liners" she has worked with over the past two decades.

Carol, her husband, and her fifteen-year-old son live on a historic ranch they have restored in central Oregon. Carol is donating a percentage of the proceeds to Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD®).
