Jann Mitchell is an award-winning feature writer and columnist, and the author of three other books. As a journalist, she's done it all: rafted the headwaters of the Amazon, lived on Skid Road, been a decoy police prostitute, been jailed as a drunken driver and dived in the South Seas.

In 1996 she downsized herself to part-time at the paper and is debt free. Jann leads workshops nationwide on simplifying life. She's an adept media veteran of radio and TV. Barbara De Angelis, author and lecturer, called her "the most conscious journalist in America."
