Joni works as a freelance writer, editor, mom (often at the same time—such is life with a home office), and teaches community fiction writing workshops.

Joni teamed up with her friends, Rebecca Joffrey and B.K. Rakhra to collect a wide variety of journal entries and compile them into a fun and diverse view of how life really is for over 500 women. This Day: Diaries from American Women and This Day in the Life: Diaries from Women Across America were conceived, compiled, and edited by the trio in Vermont where they work, play, and live.
