Inspirations behind Creating the Art for the Angel Quest Oracle

Hi again! It’s Marie Antoinette, the artist of the Angel Quest Oracle Deck. I promised you I’d share some more stories about the creation of the deck. Here’s one that comes to mind.

Nighttime is a powerful time for me to receive inspirations from the angels, specifically the time right between deep sleep and awakening. It was exactly during this time that I saw a vision. As primarily a portrait artist, I had been working hard on capturing the portraits of the angels. But I had gone to sleep that night wondering how to capture the essence of Archangel Metatron, an angel I was not personally familiar with and about whom I could not find much information on the internet. The vision I woke up to that morning was one of immense magnificence. I was being visited by a radiant being glowing with light, without defining features really, yet pulsating with pink/orange light and feeling oh so very uplifting. I could see the shape of this angel, and of his radiant wings, but mostly I was in awe of how this angel felt. Such inspiration!

That vision has become the painting for Archangel Metatron, who is incidentally the angel who raises your vibration, as he clearly did mine that very morning. You will notice that this painting is more abstract than the others. But that is how I was shown his likeness. Rather than adding definition, I did the best I could to give the painting that pulsating energy effect.

You may also notice that each of the angel cards is set in the backdrop of the universe or has some form of scintillating starlight associated with it. I feel that idea was an angel prompting as well. And I see two reasons for that mainly.

Firstly, I believe they enjoy us knowing that, for all our diversity as humans, we exist in the same vast and stellar universe. In fact, we are all made of the same star dust and elemental particles that inhabit this vast space—and that suggests we’re all one and the same at our very core. And secondly, I believe they appreciate the paintings having a bit of that cosmic feeling, the mystical sparkle of the stars, the boundary-less ness that comes from not being limited by your surroundings.

I hope the artwork opens up that boundary-less ness in you, in your internal space. And that in your inner space, you can find new room for communicating with the angels.
